SIX EASY STEPS FOR USING THE RECYCLEMOBILE

1

COMPLETE the Reservation form

2

WAIT for NRRA to contact you confirming the receipt of reservation and the date(s) in which the Recyclemobile is requested

3

PICK UP the RecycleMobile according to the reservation dates at the NRRA Office in Epsom, NH and tow (1-7/8” ball is required and you must have compatible tail/brake light connections, see attached)

4

SET UP the RecycleMobile and START collecting recyclables;

5

RECYCLE the collected material at a nearby recycling center;

6

RETURN the RecycleMobile EMPTY, CLEAN and in the same condition you received it in to the NRRA offices in Epsom, NH.

Setup Instructions

  1. After unhooking the trailer from the vehicle, lower the tongue until you can no longer turn the handle, snap the rear stabilizing legs into place by pushing them forward and then pulling them down.
  2. Drop the extension arms of the stabilizing legs by gently stepping on the trigger located on the back of each leg.
  3. Go back to the front of the RecycleMobile; turn the handle (clockwise) to raise the tongue. Do this until the RecycleMobile is stable and level. Place a block behind or in front of the wheels to prevent rolling.
  4. Unlock and open the RecycleMobile and take out the 12 poles. Attach the flags to the 4 flag poles by hooking the leather piece over the hook located on the inside at the end of the pole. Place an extension pole to each of the four flag poles. Insert each flagpole into the appropriate holder, located at each corner of the RecycleMobile.
  5. Attach the banner to the two banner poles (identifiable by the Eye Bolts/Screws). The banners can be attached by zip ties. Place an “extension” pole to the two banner poles. Insert the banner poles into the appropriate pole holders (on the sides of the RecycleMobile in the middle).
  6. Flip barrels over and place liners (not included) in the six 32-gallon barrels in preparation for collection. Close and lock the RecycleMobile.
  7. After determining the types of recyclables being used at the event, place the appropriate signs around each of the six collection receptacle openings.

Clean Up Instructions

  1. Disassemble the RecycleMobile and bring the recyclables to your local recycling facility.
  2. Please put all flags back in the storage bin and unhook the banner from the poles and roll up and place on top of the metal poles in the RecycleMobiles. Please do NOT lay them on the bottom of the trailer floor. This keeps the banner clean and dry for the next use. Also, please do NOT put flags and banners away WET. If it has rained during your event, we ask that you let the flags/banners dry out completely before putting them back in the RecycleMobile or storage container. If you put them away wet, they will get moldy and it ruins the material.These flags are costly, and we want to keep them nice-looking for all who use them.
  3. Please wipe down the signs and remove any soda spills or other stains so that they are clean for the next person who uses them.
  4. Hook up to trailer and return the RecycleMobile to:

Northeast Resource Recovery Association
2101 Dover Road, Epsom, NH 03234.

Things To Keep In Mind

Where should the RecycleMobile be placed during the event?

Location, Location, Location! Consider the most
convenient location that attendees will be able to readily see and have easy access to. Consider high traffic areas near the vendors.

What will attendees be disposing of at the event?

Contact food/refreshment vendors to determine what type of items will be sold. (i.e. soda bottles vs. cans) so you can appropriately determine what to label the RecycleMobile receptacles.

Where will the collected material be recycled?

If you haven’t already, contact your local or private recycling facility to see if they will accept the recyclables. Ask how they would like the material brought to them (i.e. separated or single-stream).

Who will “keep an eye” on the RecycleMobile during the event?

Depending on the size of the event, the barrels may have to be emptied on a regular basis, so consider assigning someone to this task.
