EPSOM, N.H. – New Hampshire the Beautiful, Inc. (NH the Beautiful) is pleased to announce the award of $2,500 in Recycling Equipment Grant funding to three New Hampshire communities to support and enhance local recycling programs.
The grants will help municipalities purchase equipment that improves recycling operations, increases material recovery, and supports environmental stewardship throughout the state.
The August 6, 2026 grant recipients include:
Town of Harrisville
Harrisville was awarded $500 toward the purchase of a new quick cover for a roll-off container. The cover will help protect collected glass recyclables from weather exposure, allowing the town to continue its glass recycling efforts efficiently and effectively.
Town of Meredith
Meredith was awarded $1,000 to purchase two Styrofoam recycling bins. The new bins will enable the town to establish a residential Styrofoam collection program and direct materials to the Gilford Recycling Center for recycling. This initiative will reduce landfill disposal while increasing the recovery and reuse of recyclable materials.
Town of Dalton
Dalton was awarded $1,000 toward the purchase of a pallet jack with an integrated scale. The equipment will improve transfer station operations by allowing staff to move and weigh recyclable materials more safely and efficiently, streamlining day-to-day recycling activities.
“These grants provide communities with practical tools that strengthen local recycling programs and help keep valuable materials out of landfills,” said Kevin Daigle, President of NH the Beautiful’s Board of Directors. “We are proud to support municipalities that continue to invest in environmental responsibility and resource conservation for the benefit of New Hampshire residents.”
