New Hampshire the Beautiful, Inc. Awards Recycling Equipment Grants to Antrim, Greenfield, Littleton, Washington, and Waterville Valley, NH

Epsom, NH: The New Hampshire the Beautiful, Inc. (NHtB) Board of Directors have voted to approve over $19,000 in Recycling Equipment Grant funding for five New Hampshire towns:

  • The Town of Antrim, NH, was awarded $5,000 for a new, state of the art electric fork truck used to move bales of recyclables, now without the need for gas!
  • The Town of Greenfield, NH, was awarded $1,540 towards the purchase of two storage containers. Keeping recyclable materials clean and dry is key to obtaining best market pricing and higher revenues. These new containers store recyclables, such as cardboard and plastics, to keep them dry and secure until the town has enough bales to send to market.
  • The Town of Littleton, NH, was awarded $5,000 towards the purchase of a new skid-steer. This skid-steer is a crucial piece of equipment for any busy recycling center.
  • The Town of Washington, NH, was awarded $5,000 towards the purchase of a new skid steer loader. It will be used to load baled recyclable materials onto trucks for transport.
  • The Town of Waterville Valley, NH, was awarded $5,000 towards the purchase of a new skid steer. It will help improve the transfer station’s service to the public by moving bulky items around the facility and making room for more residential recyclable materials.

The NH the Beautiful Recycling Equipment Grant program is available to any New Hampshire Municipal Recycling Center or Transfer Station. The grant program is designed to assist communities with the purchase of equipment to facilitate or improve municipal recycling programs.
