Facility Signs

Clear, consistent signage at transfer stations and recycling centers helps people recycle correctly and safely. When everyone sees the same guidance, facilities operate more efficiently, contamination is reduced, and communities save money while protecting the environment.

Under the NH the Beautiful Sign Program, New Hampshire municipalities may apply for a set of standard signs, with the full cost covered – up to a specified amount. To support consistency and program capacity, custom sign requests are no longer available.

Municipal Grants

New Hampshire communities can apply for Recycling Equipment Grants to help offset the cost of essential recycling infrastructure.

Funding can cover up to 20% of eligible equipment purchases—such as balers, crushers, and roll-off containers—that support higher diversion rates and more efficient recycling programs.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, with grants awarded as reimbursements and priority given to communities with the greatest need and impact.

Recycling Bins

Recycling bins make it easy to recycle right. Having a dedicated bin at home or work helps keep recyclable materials out of the trash, reduces contamination, and ensures valuable materials are collected and turned into new products. Clear, consistent access to recycling bins supports cleaner communities, lower disposal costs, and a more efficient recycling system overall.

Throughout the year, NHtB subsidizes curbside bins for communities, educational facilities, non-profits organizations.

Litter Free NH

Litter-Free New Hampshire helps towns, community groups, and volunteers keep New Hampshire clean by supporting local litter clean-up efforts. Through the program, communities can access free blue litter bags, step-by-step resources, and guidance for organizing successful cleanups.

By making it easier to collect and properly manage litter, Litter-Free NH empowers residents to protect local landscapes, waterways, and public spaces.

Towns can get up to 10 cases while supplies last on a first come, first served basis!
